Describing a place: My Aunt's House

Great food, a lot of people, fun parties and lots of things to do, these are the things that go on at my aunt’s house. Most of the time when I go over I have a lot of fun with all my cousins and uncles. On weekends, if I am bored with nothing to do at home I go over to her house.

Well when I go over I play soccer with my cousins and uncles but if we don’t have enough room there we go to the park and play there. When we get tired we go home if we’re in the park or inside if we’re just outside and we watch movies or play video games. Sometimes if we have money and there is a movie we want to see we go to the theaters at Bayfair. Also sometimes when we have parties and if we invite friends over my cousin and I like to hang out with them and talk with them.

My family is big so sometimes when we get together at my aunts house it gets crowded, at least I think it does. About half of them are my cousins who are younger than me and sometimes it is also my nephew and nieces, rest are adults and older cousins. Sometimes there are over twenty people at once so it can be hard to find a place were you could sit down and get some peace and quiet.

The food my aunts make is delicious at least I think so. Also I think other people like it too because anyone who has eaten it before can’t wait to eat it again. Another reason is because when anyone finishes they go back for more. I think the best food they make is when we are going to have a party because we eat tamales, pozole, barbacoa and other good Mexican food.

All this is thing I do when I go over and I enjoy doing it all. The good food, all the people, and all the different things to do. And I have a lot of fun when I go over because I always have something to do. This is why on boring weekends I like to go hang out with my cousins at my aunt’s house. And this is what I do when I go over.

Maya Angelou

What i learned about Maya Angelou was that she was known for the autobiographical writtings wich are I know why the caged bird sings, and All gods children need traveling shoes and a poem just give me a cool drink of water before i die.She waz born April,4 1928 in Marguerite Ann Johnson in San Louis Mississippi.In 1931 her parents got divorced and Maya and her brother were sent to live with their grandmother .When she was 8 she was raped by her mothers boyfriend,all that caused alot of trauma and caused Maya to become mute for nearly 4 years.What we learned is that she never gave up and when she was 16 she had a son and moved back to San Francisco and that is what i learned so far about Maya Angelou.

My first week at Bunche

During my first week at Bunche I had a good time.I liked that my teachers will let you eat in class as long as you don't make a mess.I didn't like that I have to start off each day with algebra class first period.Most of my classes are fun,but there are some that arent.I met a lot of new people and some I knew before.Something I hope to accomplish is to get good grades and pass the 9th grade and then graduate high school.
